• Research Trail – Any opportunity where you are involved with working on a research project with a project lead or mentor (i.e. working in a research lab, leading your own research project outside of the classroom, or connecting with a faculty to support their research efforts)
• Civic Engagement – Involvement in Civic Engagement can look like being involved with community service, connecting with projects within the community that are designed to improve the community, or working with local community organizations to provide support to the larger community.
• Career Readiness – Any connections to opportunities that are furthering your career preparation including internships, jobs that are connecting you with career development opportunities, or full-time employment.
• Leadership – Opportunities outside of the classroom that would allow for you to build out your leadership skills. Examples include being an officer in a student organization, engaging with fraternity and sorority life leadership, or involvement in programs like the President’s Leadership Program (PLP).
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) – Involvement in extracurricular activities that are focused in on increasing your understanding and learning regarding DEI topics. These can be semester long learning opportunities such as presenting at the Symposium for Inclusive Excellence, being a member of DIAL, or leading/supporting Cultural Resource Center (CRC) opportunities,

Engaging with Research can help you build transferrable skills that you can take outside of the CSU. Whether you are currently engaged with a research project, working in a lab with a faculty member, or are connected with your own research endeavors, this Trail will support you through those efforts. If you’re interested in getting involved with Research, C4E has the following options available for students.

• Undocumented Student Support (limited to 8 students)
• Food Insecurity Project (limited to 8 students)
• First Generation Student Experience Project (limited to 8 students)
• Conversing through Conflict Project (limited to 8 students)

Civic Engagement is an important part of being a college student. At CSU, we have strong ties to giving back to our community as Service is one of our Principles of Community. Here in C4E, Civic Engagement can look like giving back to your community, engaging with local businesses, or projects that are designed to support others in the larger Fort Collins community. If you have a project that meets Civic Engagement, you can count that as your C4E requirements by filling out the form below. • Sensory/Allergy Friendly Trick or Treat Project (limited to 25 students)

An important part of your journey at CSU is knowing how to connect what you are learning during your time in college to what comes next for you. Part of that is exploring your Career Readiness opportunities. • Types of Leadership Styles – Come learn more about the leadership styles available to you and where you might fit!
• Transferring Your Leadership to Life – Join a conversation where we focus on how to bring your leadership qualities out into your life! 
• How Do You Lead – Learn more about how you show up as a leader and how you can effectively lead others!

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are principles that we uphold within C4E. When it comes to DEI work an important part of the conversation is bringing in multiple perspectives and shifting your own worldview to include perspectives you might not have heard from before. Scholar Success Programs has created opportunities for you to engage with DEI topics whether you’re a beginner or have been studying this for a while. Options are listed below:

• Introduction to Intersectionality – Learn about the concepts of Intersectionality and how you can see it in action!
• Unpacking Your Biases – Engage with your own culture in a space where you can also learn from others! 
• Crafting Cultural Competence – Learn how to take your DEI skills to the next level and how you can see them in everyday life!
