All Incoming CSU Student Next Steps
Accept Your CSU Offer of Admission
You can accept your CSU offer of admission by paying or deferring your $300 enrollment deposit. Most C4E students are eligible to defer the enrollment deposit. Deferring your deposit means you will officially be confirmed and will pay the deposit as part of your first bill. Once you submit your deposit or deposit deferral, you will be able to access the on-campus housing application and sign up for Ram Orientation.
For questions about accepting your offer of admission, contact the Office of Admissions.
Apply for Housing
First-year students are required to live on campus and are guaranteed housing. The on-campus housing application is available online, and while it requires a $350 deposit, that fee is waived if you are eligible to defer your enrollment deposit.
For questions about the on-campus housing application, contact Housing and Dining Services.
Sign Up for Ram Orientation
All new students attend Ram Orientation to learn about CSU traditions, to get introduced to campus services, and to register for classes. You must reserve a session through the Orientation Reservations system. Parents, family members, and support systems are encouraged to attend Ram Orientation, too.
For questions about Ram Orientation, contact Orientation and Transition Programs.
Check Financial Aid on RAMweb
Check the Financial Aid section of your RAMweb account to see if you need to accept any of your financial Awards or complete any requirements.
For questions about financial aid, contact the Office of Financial Aid.
Check your CSU Email Account
Even though you haven’t started taking classes at CSU just yet, make sure you log onto and begin regularly checking your CSU email account. Offices at the University are already sending you important information there. Expect communication from your Scholar Contact in August.
For information about how to access your CSU email, visit https://it.colostate.edu/email-accounts/.
Consider Key Communities or TRIO Academic Advancement Center
Key Communities
The Key Communities are learning communities for first year, second year, and continuing students designed to honor the identities and strengths of each student to foster students transition to and through the University. The Key Communities are one of the most diverse communities on campus, with many of the students identifying as a student of color and/or first generation to college, who are committed to creating and nurturing inclusive environments that welcome, value and affirm the diverse identities of our students.

TRIO Academic Advancement Center
The Academic Advancement Center at Colorado State University is committed to centering the needs and experiences of institutionally minoritized students by creating opportunities to access higher education. Through a student-centered, strength-based approach, we strive to foster a community that will support students holistically as they pursue their academic, personal, and career goals.
