Welcome to the Community for Excellence Network! We are so excited to have you and look forward to getting to know you during your time at CSU. As you prepare for this exciting time, there are a few “next steps” for you to become part of the C4E community and some general “next steps” for all incoming CSU students.
Community for Excellence Next Steps
C4E is a space-limited program on campus that collaborates with external and internal partners to connect outstanding students with financial awards and support throughout their CSU journey. Students will need to be nominated by a C4E Partner Program to apply to the C4E.
In order to receive the student support and C4E funding, you must apply for consideration by completing the following 3 steps no later than February 1st:
- Complete the general CSU Scholarship Application (CSUSA)
- Complete the required C4E Partnership Award application and C4E Essay Question on the CSUSA
- Complete your FAFSA or CASFA application. You must meet financial need eligibility requirements as determined by CSU’s Office of Financial Aid for admission into C4E.
If selected, you will have requirements to complete each semester you are enrolled to continue receiving your C4E financial award.
All Incoming CSU Student Next Steps
Accept Your CSU Offer of Admission
You can accept your CSU offer of admission by paying or deferring your enrollment deposit. Most C4E students are eligible to defer the enrollment deposit. Deferring your deposit means you will officially be confirmed and will pay the deposit as part of your first bill. Once you submit your deposit or deposit deferral, you will be able to access the on-campus housing application and sign up for Ram Orientation.
For questions about accepting your offer of admission, contact the Office of Admissions.
Apply for Housing
First-year students are required to live on campus and are guaranteed housing. The on-campus housing application is available online. For questions about the on-campus housing application, contact Housing and Dining Services.
Check Financial Aid on RAMweb
Check the Financial Aid section of your RAMweb account to see if you need to accept any of your financial Awards or complete any requirements.
For questions about financial aid, contact the Office of Financial Aid.
Check your CSU Email Account
Even though you haven’t started taking classes at CSU just yet, make sure you log onto and begin regularly checking your CSU email account. Offices at the University are already sending you important information there. Expect communication from your Scholar Contact in August.
For information about how to access your CSU email, visit https://it.colostate.edu/email-accounts/.
